This challenge is a non-public residence situated within the hyperlinks Golfcourse improvement in Thirteenth Seaside, a small coastal city situated alongside the Victorian Shoreline. Being situated in a reasonably ‘residential’ housing improvement, we responded to the shopper’s transient by creating an inward-focused, Courtyard home. Offering the residents with a way of seclusion inside a quickly growing housing property.



From the outside, the home is clad in black-stained timber, making a easy, strong type when seen from the road. Internally, the shape is damaged down into distinct sections by the usage of a pinwheel of rammed earth partitions. The 600mm thick rammed earth partitions outline the varied zones/features of the home, and wrap across the massive inner courtyard, containing a pool, and coated and uncovered outside residing areas.


ZONE 1: The entry corridor and Visitor zone – include 2 bedrooms, moist areas, and a second residing area. ZONE 2: The residing zone – containing the residing/eating/kitchen and pantry. ZONE 3: The Household zone – comprises the principle bed room and youngsters’ bed room, every with its personal ensuite. ZONE 4: The service zone – containing the storage, retailer, and providers
